Bank & Stapel
Eine Sitzbank für Basel von Raphael Bottazzini. Das Design der Sitzbank ist eine Anlehnung an das alte Basler Bänkli, welches in Baselstadt und am Rheinufer anzutreffen ist. Die Bank von Bottazzini hat keinen festen Platz, jedes Jahr wird sie in Basel neu positioniert. In den Hölzern sind sechs eingravierte Namen auf jedem Holz zwei. Jeden Monat wird ein Holz ersetzt mit zwei neuen Namen. Ein Kollektiv ist verantwortlich für die Namensfindung, welches sich jährlich neu definiert.
Im Artachment Art Space Basel werden die abgenommenen Hölzer aufbewahrt. Ein sauberer, akkurater Stapel wird gebildet und die bunten Abstandhalter trennen die Hölzer von Jahr zu Jahr. Eine Farbe für jedes Jahr. Gelangt der Stapel an die Decke des Hauses, so findet der Stapel sein Ende, wird als skulpturales Archiv ausgelagert und macht Platz für einen neuen Zeitzeugen.

Artachment Art Space Basel hat eine weitere permanente Arbeit.
Bank & Stapel (2023) von Raphael Bottazzini. Zusätzlich zu der Deckenarbeit (2018) von Roman Signer Platz ist in der kleinsten Hütte. Für was? Zum Fliegen natürlich (2018) und der Ausseninstellation Schein (2018) von dem Künstler Duo THYLACINE - Mischa Düblin, Fabian Unold, wird Bank & Stapel (2023) den Innenraum des Hauses bespielen und ist Teil des Artachment Art Space Basels.

Bench & Stack
A bench for Basel by Raphael Bottazzini. The design of the bench is a reference to the old Basel bench (Basler Bänkli), which can be found in Basel city and on the banks of the Rhine. Bottazzini's bench does not have a fixed place, every year it is repositioned in Basel. There are six engraved names on each wood. Every month a wood is replaced with two new names. A collective is responsible for finding the names, which are redefined annually. The removed wood from the benches will be stored in the Artachment Art Space Basel. A accurate stack is formed and the colorful spacers separate the timbers from year to year. One color for each year. When the stack reaches the ceiling of the house, it will be replaced as a sculptural archive and creates space for a new contemporary witness.

For flying, of course and the outdoor installation Shine (2018) by the artist duo THYLACINE - Mischa Düblin, Fabian Unold, Bench & Stack (2023) will occupy the interior of the house and is part of the Artachment Art Space Basel.
